Imagine...
Imagine if this ramadan we...
Imagine if this ramadan you heard a story that made you shed tears

Imagine if this ramadan that story you heard was someone’s reality

Imagine if this ramadan we helped just one young person

Rahmans Story Rahman chases 5grams of heroin a day. He feels lost and lonely, the drugs helps him to block out the abuse he suffered as a child. He has been shunned by his family and received no support since. The drugs are all he has and he does not know how much longer he can go on living his life like this. He wants this to stop and has turned to the Muslim Youth Helpline.

Nafisas Story Nafisa is confused and upset. She is being sexually abused by her father and does not know why. She is 8 years old. She does not know what to do and has turned to the Muslim Youth Helpline.

Hashims Story Hashim is a clinically depressed and lonely 24 year old. He used to believe his strong faith alone would help him get through this. He’s family cal him “pagal” and tell him that he needs to grow up. He is reluctant to see a psychiatrist and get the help he needs as he feels they will not understand him. He has turned to the Muslim Youth Helpline.

Sadias Story Sadia is 19 and about to go to University. She has just found out that she is pregnant and does not know what to do. She does not want to tell her boyfriend and she feels he will not be supportive. She does not want to tell her family, as she is too scared. She feels an abortion will be too difficult for her to go though. She does not know what to do or how to explore her options. She has turned to MYH.

Dawuds Story Dawud is 19 and new to the UK as a foreign student. He feels lonely and isolated, as he dos not know English to well. He is struggling to make friends and feels intimidated to leave home. He has turned to MYH for support in his own language.

Abduls Story Abdul has recently arrived to the UK as a refugee. He feels lost and lone with no family members in the UK. He has witnessed conflict on a regular basis. He has turned to MYH for support on how to build a new life.

Jubadhas Story Jubadha has been married for more than 2 years. Her husband orders her to remain home. He tells her that this is Islamic and in her best interests. She finds being home very difficult and lonely. She is unable to see any of her family or friends regularly. She has turned to MYH to have a comforting voice.

Rahimas Story Rahima is cold and scared. She has run away from home to escape the physical abuse she has suffered from her family. She is too scared to tell anyone about what has been happening. She has moved to place far away from home, so that none of her family is able to locate her. She is sleeping on the streets and has turned to MYH.

Imagine a world without MYH

Where would Rahma, Nafisa, Dawud, Abdul and Hashim have turned, without MYH who would have supported them through this time in their lives. Thanks to the volunteers who give up 3 hours of their week, every week we are able to support the Muslim youth across the UK.

This is how they help, and heres how you can help!
